About this wiki
This wiki is the reference companion to ilroot.com, a heritage site about the land and people of Israel. The main site tells the story editorially; this wiki atomizes the same research into one article per topic, organized for lookup rather than reading order.
How it’s organized
Section titled “How it’s organized”- Questions & answers: the conflict’s famous questions, split honestly into settled (documented answers) and genuinely open.
- Who attacked first: every war’s opening, documented, including the wars where Israel fired the first shot and what preceded the shot.
- Cities & places: each city’s names across Hebrew, Greek, Latin and Arabic, who founded it, and who lives there now.
- Claims, checked: viral claims graded False, Misleading, or Contested against the evidence.
- Myths & misconceptions and Holocaust denial, answered: the old libels and the new ones, each with the record.
- Media & Wikipedia bias: documented editing patterns on Israel-related articles, with links so you can verify today’s version yourself.
- Glossary: 170+ terms defined plainly.
How it’s sourced
Section titled “How it’s sourced”Every article here is generated from the same research base as the main site, where each major claim carries its citations: UN documents, treaty texts, period records, scholarship. Follow any article’s link back to the main site for the full context and the claim-by-claim citation index.
Where a question is genuinely contested, the article says so. A reference that claims everything is settled is doing the same thing as one that claims nothing is.
A note on posture
Section titled “A note on posture”This project is openly pro-Israel and pro-truth, in that order. It corrects propaganda with documents, concedes what honest history concedes, and treats readers as adults. If you find an error, check the sources page and write in; being correctable is the point.
