Bangladesh Islami Chhatra Shibir: what Wikipedia removed

Bangladesh Islami Chhatra Shibir is the student wing of the Islamist Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami, successor to a group that carried out war crimes for the Pakistani Army during the Bangladesh Liberation War. In 2015 the opening reported that a US thinktank study, the ‘IHS Jane’s 2013 Global Terrorism & Insurgency Attack Index,’ ‘listed Shibir as third largest armed group in the world,’ a ranking the organization has ‘denied and protested.’ Today the opening covers the organization’s 1977 founding, its predecessor’s role in the Bangladesh Liberation War, and its university presence, with the terrorism index ranking gone, though terror survives 19 times elsewhere in the article. A reader today learns which universities the organization is active at, not that a global terrorism index once ranked it the world’s third largest armed group.
