Zew Wawa Morejno: what Wikipedia removed
Zew Wawa Morejno was the last rabbi of communist Poland. Through 2020 the opening stated he was prosecuted through the 1960s for protesting the destruction of Jewish cemeteries and the resurgence of political antisemitism that culminated in the 1968 mass expulsion of Polish Jews. Today the opening says only that he was the last rabbi of communist Poland who emigrated in 1973, and antisemitism survives once in the body but not the opening. A reader arriving now does not learn that his prominence traced to opposing a documented antisemitic campaign that expelled Polish Jews.
The word “occupation” appeared 1 times in this article’s opening at its peak, in 2010. Today the opening carries none; the body carries 1. Checked against the full current article on 2026-08-01.
