On January 29, 2004 a suicide bombing on Egged bus number 19 in Jerusalem , Israel , killed 11 civilians and wounded over 50 people, 13 of them seriously. The explosion took place shortly before 9:00 AM at the corner of Gaza and Arlozorov streets, just outside Ariel Sharon’s official residence in Jerusalem. The bus started its route at Hadassah Ein Kerem hospital , and was supposed to end it at Mount Scopus . A Palestinian bomber detonated an explosive belt on an Egged bus #19 traveling between the two campuses of Hadassah Medical Center . Eleven passengers were killed and over 50 people were wounded, 13 of them seriously.
