Ashkenazi, Sephardi, Mizrahi

Three broad branches of one people. Ashkenazi Jews trace to Central and Eastern Europe, Sephardi Jews to medieval Spain and Portugal, and Mizrahi Jews to the Middle East and North Africa: Iraq, Iran, Yemen, Morocco and beyond. Most Jewish Israelis are Mizrahi or Sephardi, which is why ‘all Jews are white Europeans’ is simply false.
