Through the 2005 snapshot the opening compared it to ‘a similar commission in 1983, investigating a large massacre of Palestinians, [which] led to the resignation of Ariel Sharon as defense minister.’ Today the word massacre appears nowhere in the article. A reader arriving now learns only of the Or Commission’s own findings, and not that Wikipedia’s own opening once drew this comparison to the 1983 commission and Sharon’s resignation.
