The 2005 Bangladesh bombings were roughly 500 coordinated bombs set off in one day by the Islamist group Jama’atul Mujahideen Bangladesh. Through 2015 the opening said the perpetrators, “along with 4 other militants, were executed by hanging on 30 March 2007.” Militant appears nowhere in the article today, and the opening no longer mentions the executions. A reader today does not learn that the bombers were executed as militants.
