Wannsee Conference

The meeting of 15 senior Nazi officials at a villa on Berlin’s Lake Wannsee on 20 January 1942, chaired by Reinhard Heydrich, to coordinate the Final Solution. Its surviving minutes, the Wannsee Protocol, tabulated some 11 million European Jews to be killed: the clearest documentary proof of a deliberate extermination plan.
