Murder of the Hatuel family: what Wikipedia removed
Tali Hatuel, eight months pregnant, and her four daughters, aged two to eleven, were shot dead near Gush Katif in 2004, an attack claimed by an alliance of Islamic Jihad and the Popular Resistance Committees. By 2010 the opening said Hatuel and her daughters were “shot and killed at close range by Palestinian terrorists.” Today the same men are called “Palestinian militants” in the opening; the word terrorists does not appear there, surviving 16 times in the body. A reader of the opening today learns the family was killed by militants, not that Wikipedia’s own earlier opening called their killers terrorists.
