Karni Crossing was a Gaza-Israel cargo terminal repeatedly attacked by Palestinian militants during the Second Intifada, including for smuggling a suicide bomber into an attack that killed ten people. Through 2010 the opening stated the terminal “was attack[ed] a number of times by Palestinian militants,” who were also alleged to have used it “to smuggle suicide bombers and explosive belts into Israel,” citing the Ashdod seaport bombing that killed 10 people. Today’s opening describes the crossing only in commercial and logistical terms, with militant surviving twice elsewhere in the article, not the opening. A reader arriving now does not learn that the crossing was repeatedly attacked by Palestinian militants or used to smuggle a suicide bomber into an attack that killed ten people.

During the al-Aqsa Intifada the Karni terminal was attack number of times by Palestinian militants, forcing temporary shut-downs for repairs and enhanchment of security procedures.
