Otniel: what Wikipedia removed

Otniel is an Israeli settlement south of Hebron, home to a yeshiva. Through 2010 the opening said “Students of Otniel yeshiva were victims of a terror attack in 2003, taking the lives of four boys,” and noted a second, later terror attack that killed a teacher. Today’s opening makes no mention of either attack, describing Otniel only by geography, population and its educational institutions, though the word survives twice in the body. A reader today does not learn from the opening that four boys were killed in a terrorist attack at the settlement’s yeshiva.
