Yehuda “Nimrod” Lapidot (born August 13, 1928) is an Israeli historian and former professor of biochemistry . Lapidot was a member of the Irgun and an officer in the Israel Defense Forces . In 1980 he was appointed head of Lishkat Hakesher by former Irgun commander and then Israeli Prime Minister Menachem Begin . Lapidot received a Ph.D. in biochemistry from Hebrew University in 1960 and later became a professor.
