Promised Day Brigade: what Wikipedia removed

The Promised Day Brigade was an Iraqi Shia insurgent group and one of the largest Iranian-backed ‘Special Groups’ operating during the Iraq War. Through 2010 the opening identified it as ‘an Shi’a Islamist, Iraqi Insurgent group and one of Iraq’s largest and most powerful Special Groups.’ Today’s opening calls it simply ‘a Shiite organization and insurgent group,’ and the word survives twice in the body. A reader today learns it was a Shiite insurgent group and not that Wikipedia’s own opening once specifically classified it as Islamist.
