The Dolphinarium discotheque bombing was a June 2001 suicide attack on a Tel Aviv nightclub that killed 21 Israelis, 16 of them teenagers. Through 2020 the opening called it a Hamas terror attack carried out by a Hamas-affiliated Islamist terrorist. Today the opening says only that a Hamas-affiliated militant blew himself up outside the discotheque, with terror attack and Islamist terrorist gone from the opening though Islamist survives once in the body. A reader today learns a militant carried out a bombing and does not learn that Wikipedia’s own opening once called this a terror attack.
