Naksa

Arabic for “the setback,” the Arab name for the defeat in the 1967 Six-Day War. Facing Egypt’s blockade of the Straits of Tiran, the expulsion of the UN peacekeepers and massed Arab armies, Israel struck first and took Sinai, Gaza, the West Bank and the Golan.
