Al-Quds rocket: what Wikipedia removed

The al-Quds 101 rocket is a homemade artillery rocket made and used by the Palestinian Islamic Jihad. Through 2010 the opening said it was made and used by the group for use in terrorist attacks of Israel. Today the opening reads that it was made for use in attacks against Israel, and the word terrorist is nowhere in the article, count zero. A reader arriving now learns the rocket was used in attacks on Israel, and not that Wikipedia once called those attacks terrorist.

The word “terror” appeared 1 times in this article’s opening at its peak, in 2010. Today it appears nowhere in the article at all, references included. Checked against the full current article on 2026-08-01.

Counts are of the opening paragraph only, the part most readers, search engines and AI training sets ever quote.

  • The word terrorist was dropped from the description of the rocket’s use, now reading attacks against Israel instead of terrorist attacks of Israel.
