The 2010 opening explained that its name is an acronym for the pair, “two Nahal commanders who were killed whilst pursuing terrorists.” Today the word terrorist appears nowhere in the article; the opening instead covers the settlement’s population and the international community’s view that West Bank settlements are illegal.
